Generosity squareINSTA.jpg

I produced this unique event as a benefit for the Marjorie Luke Theatre, with the generous support of UBS Financial Services, and my dear friends Brad Hall and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The evening was a warm and wonderful success due to the beauty of the story of Julia's father, the late William Louis-Dreyfus, who was inspired to donate his art collection to the Harlem Children's Zone. I interviewed Brad and Julia onstage about the process of this inspiring philanthropic gesture and its ties to education, art and justice.

About ten days later I met Jeffrey Canada, the founder and visionary leader of the Harlem Children's Zone, in New York City at an art opening of Bill Traylor's work featured in the collection, with Julia and Brad. Both nights will be lovingly remembered the rest of my life.

Thanks to David Bazemore for photos from the event and shooting the video below of my interview with Brad and Julia onstage at The Luke.
