I had the joy of producing a special benefit event for the Marjorie Luke Theatre on November 6, 2010.  Riding the international wave of popularity of the hit FOX TV Series GLEE, I invited my friend Dante DiLoreto (Exec. Producer) to bring some of the GLEE Company to The Luke Theatre.  The Sold Out Event was wildly successful, raising over  $40,000 for The Luke and offering Gleeks from all over southern California a once in a lifetime personal encounter with these great celebrity artists.

 

Host and Moderator Brad Hall, Dante and I were all students of Marjorie Luke and the evening was a warm tribute to alums coming home to SBJHS to celebrate the legacy of this great theatre, and inspirational teaching.  Co-Creator Ian Brennan and Dante were interviewed by Brad, clips of GLEE were screened, and then special GLEE Cast Guests (Emmy Award-Winner) Jane Lynch, the late Cory Monteith, Michael O’Malley and Chord Overstreet joined for a rousing discussion and questions from the audience.
