NEWTON'S CRADLE
NEWTON'S CRADLE
“Newton’s Cradle” is an original contemporary musical written and directed by the team of Rod Lathim, Norma LaTushie and Peter McCorkle for the Patricia Henley Foundation’s summer Youth Theatre Workshop in 2011. We customized the show to reflect the personal experiences of the cast of teens. The show explored funny and serious topics including technology and devices getting out of control, death of a parent, bullying, being different, and helicopter parents. The upbeat, fast-paced show was an audience pleaser and the cast grew tremendously into a tight ensemble. The show performed at Center Stage Theater in Santa Barbara. Some of the songs were recorded professionally in-studio.
