ONE GOOD EGG
ONE GOOD EGG
I was pleased to work with writer/performer Elaine Gale to adapt her autobiographical work ONE GOOD EGG for the stage. I directed the world premiere of Elaine's one-woman play, ONE GOOD EGG, at Center Stage Theater in Santa Barbara, California May 5-7, 2017.
ONE GOOD EGG is a passionate, enlightening journey of weeding through the mess of life and discovering love, new beginnings, finding home, and creating a family. This illuminating work is powerful but balanced with humor. Ultimately, ONE GOOD EGG is a universal story of how we make sense of our lives, move through challenges, sustain loss, and maintain hope, love, and a sense of humor.
We had a great team of symbiotic designers including scenic and lighting designer Pat Frank and composer Lydia Violet. Some of the most fulfilling directing experiences in my career have been helping individuals tell their unique life stories, and this one is no exception.
We sold out all four performances to very enthusiastic audiences and plan to bring the play back to Center Stage in the Spring of 2018. Please visit www.onegoodeggshow.com for complete information on the production. Here are links to media stories:
